Douglas Knehans
Co-Director and Producer
In 2008 Knehans and his partner, designer Josephine McLachlan, co-created ABLAZE Records and have since published over seventy discs of new music from hundreds of living composers around the world. Knehans has served as producer for ABLAZE Records FOR over seventy discs and is a member of NARAS. His own compositions have also been published by ABLAZE WINNING numerous international recording awards.
Josephine McLachlan
Co-director and Art Director
Josephine McLachlan is the resident designer at ABLAZE Records. She has held graphic design industry and teaching positions in New York City; New Haven, CT; Hobart, Australia, and Cincinnati, OH. She is also co-director of ABLAZE Records. Josephine McLachlan has designed over 60 CD covers, artwork, printed and digital books. She is published by Simon and Schuster and is a member of NARAS.
Mikel Toms
ConDuctor
Mikel is closely associated with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra in the Czech Republic with whom he has made over a hundred recordings of contemporary and classical repertoire. He has recorded over 80 new works for orchestra and has collaborated with major composers including Iannis Xenakis, James Dillon, Michael Finnissy, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Harrison Birtwistle and has appeared at festivals in London, Bath, Cheltenham, Huddersfield, Belfast, Darmstadt, Innsbruck, Sligo, Almaty, Valencia, Dortmund and Berlin.
Brett Scott
Conductor
Brett Scott currently directs Cincinnati’s Coro Volante, a vocal ensemble dedicated to the performance and recording of music by living composers, which releases recordingS In the New Choral VoiceS Series through Ablaze records. Past director of the Cincinnati Camerata he recently led that ensemble in the regional premiere of Arvo Pärt’s Passio, and in collaboration with concert:nova and Nanoworks Opera, the regional premiere of Jonathan Dove’s community opera Tobias and the Angel.
Kevin Michael Holzman
CONDUCTOR
As the Frederick Fennell Conducting Fellow and 2016 recipient of the prestigious Walter Hagen Prize for Excellence in Conducting, Holzman served as Associate Conductor of the world-renowned Eastman Wind Ensemble and Eastman Wind Orchestra. He regularly appeared as a conductor for OSSIA New Music, including multiple world-premiere performances. In summer 2016, Holzman SERVED as an associate conductor on the Eastman Wind Ensemble’s first tour in Europe, where he conducted the Eastman Harmonie in Salzburg, Vienna and Prague.

Jaroslav Zouhar has recorded more than 30 CDs of classical, jazz and folk music. In cooperation with the Brno Philharmonic.

Silas Brown
Mixing and Mastering Engineer
Silas Brown is a New York City area producer, engineer, and mastering engineer specializing in classical and jazz recordings. He has more than 20 years of production credits and was awarded Grammys in 2014 as producer of the Evelyn Glennie/Albany Symphony recording of Corigliano’s Conjurer (Best Soloist Performance with Orchestra) and in 2011 as mastering engineer on the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Verdi Requiem recording (Best Classical Album).
Adam Abeshouse
Recording, Mixing and Mastering Engineer
Adam Abeshouse has produced and engineered recordings for many TOP CLASSICAL LABELS. In 1999, he won the GRAMMY Award for Classical Producer of the Year, and was nominated again in 2003. ADAM Abeshouse won a second GRAMMY Award in the Best Classical Instrumental Solo Performance category for producing and engineering Garrick Ohlsson's Beethoven Sonatas, Vol. 3.

David v.R Bowles recordings have been GRAMMY-nominated (Classical - Best Orchestral Performance), JUNO-nominated (Classical Album of the Year - Vocal or Choral) and won the “Classical Orchestral Album” prize (Just Plain Folks Awards). Other Bowles-produced and engineered releases have twice been named “Record of the Month - Editor's Choice” from Gramophone Magazine and Opera News; and “Record of the Year” from New York Times, the New Yorker and Voix des Arts.
